H W Martin Waste Ltd has a history of supporting local talent. October saw the company sponsoring two categories at the prestigious Bolsover District Sports Awards 2015.
More than 100 people attended the event to recognise and celebrate the sporting achievements of sportspeople, clubs and volunteers from around the District.
H W Martin Waste Ltd sponsored Team of the Year, which was won by the South Normanton Colts football club. The club has grown from strength to strength, now with 8 teams ranging from Under 7s to Under 16s. In 2015 the club actively promoted the FA Respect Campaign and the Derbyshire County FA awarded the club Derbyshire FA Charter Standard Club of the Year and the FA Respect Club of the Year. The club’s dedicated coaches and volunteers are committed to a future providing grassroots football.
H W Martin Waste Ltd also sponsored Champion Schools Winner – small school, which was won by Palterton Primary School. This school is an example to all schools wanting to engage pupils into sport and achieve great success. This year they have won the Small Schools Football competition, Girls Table Tennis, Tennis plus, and Girls Kwik Cricket competitions. They have a go at almost every sport and invariably do extremely well at it.
The company is very proud to have been involved in giving these winners the recognition they deserve and gives its congratulations to all winners and runners up in every category.
