Recycling Team Shines for BBC Children in Need
Buckets, hoses, sponges and plenty of enthusiasm were all that was needed to raise lots of money for the BBC Children in Need charity this year.
An all-female team from H W Martin Waste Ltd.'s administration department braved the icy November rain (and the odd break in the clouds) for an afternoon of car washing. Employees from H W Martin's head office businesses made generous donations to Children in Need, in exchange for some vehicular TLC from the ladies.
Casey, Charlotte, Faith, Gemma and Laura all kept smiling even as their hands went numb, but the money they raised - almost £400 and counting... - and the shiny cars they produced made it all worthwhile.
