We provide data-led, traffic management services within a temporary environment. Put simply, we guide vehicles around roadworks in the safest, most efficient way possible whilst permanent improvements are made to the country’s highways.

Job Description
As on Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial part in coordinating resources, equipment and personnel to ensure the efficient delivery of projects. You will assist in scheduling, tracking, and reporting on project progress, working closely with the Operations Manager and project teams. Additionally, your responsibilities will encompass maintaining clear communication with local facilities and H W Martin Plant to guarantee that our equipment and vehicles are in optimal condition.

Duties & Responsibilities
•Ensure compliance with the Company’s health, safety, quality, environment & collaborative working policies.
•Assist with allocating resources to projects
•Input data into and monitor plans
•Assist with implementation of the Facilities Management Plan
•Liaise with the Training Team to ensure that employees are available for all training and development needs
•Assist with management of fleet and liaise with Plant to ensure continued roadworthiness
•Complete all mandatory learning requirements
•Help manage incident reporting procedures and support investigations as needed.

Education
NHSS 12A General Operative
SSSTS
Good general education

Essential Experience
At least 3 years’ experience within the highways / rail / construction / logistics or FM sectors

Skills
Knowledge of temporary traffic management layouts and Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8
Knowledge of logistics management – identifying optimum travel plans and loading requirements
It is essential to have strong people management skills, including effective communication and team leadership
Proficient in IT systems and document management
