 Job Title:  Coded Welder/Fabricator

Location: Based at Blackwell, Derbyshire (J28, M1) with some off site working required at our other locations.

Salary:  Excellent rates of pay + other benefits + opportunities for overtime

Hours:  40 hours per week Monday to Friday plus every other Saturday (overtime)

Hours of work –  typically 7am to 3pm this is negotiable

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member of the Fleet maintenance team, You will have the opportunity to use your skills and knowledge within the role with a clear emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. We are seeking hands-on welding professionals to join our expanding team.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on steel (including stainless and Hardox) and aluminium.
  • Conduct repair, modification, and restoration work on various vehicles, trailers, light/heavy plant machinery, and agricultural equipment.
  • Ensure all welds meet industry standards and are completed to a high-quality finish.
  • Ability to work independently with workshop fabrication equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines.
  • Willingness to undertake both workshop and site work.
  • Adherence to the strict compliance with the Health & Safety Policy including personal health and safety and the safety of others.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and perform other general duties as required.

Experience, qualifications and skills required:

  • Proven experience as a TIG/MIG Fabricator Coded Welder. (Ideally heavy grade)
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and processes for steel and aluminum.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant welding certifications and qualifications.
