Looking for a Social Value Manager to join our expanding management team and support the network of Contracts we undertake on behalf of our Local Authority clients. You will be involved in supporting projects with engagement and supporting of local businesses, helping with the dedicated employment and skills plan, working with schools, social enterprises and local community groups.
A full Job Description will be provided to candidates selected for interview, but here is a snapshot of the role:
- Lead on the delivery of Contract specific targets and social sustainability objectives (TOMS), in line with the client’s requirements and the Company’s commitments.
- Creating and delivering training and employment opportunity plans in consultation with Group HR department.
- Working with the supply chain and external providers.
- Engaging in educational and community activities to deliver social value.
- Working with colleagues and third sector organisations to maximise opportunities to reuse waste and create a positive environmental, cultural and social impact from our activities.
- Manage associated data capture and reporting including managing entries onto the national TOMS portal.
- Identify suitable awards and opportunities to promote Company activities, including the production of case studies and relevant presentations and other communications.
- Assist with the preparation, completion and submission of tenders for additional Contracts.
- Attendance at Contract meetings.
Key skills/experience:
- Demonstrable practical experience of delivering Social Value projects including identifying risks and opportunities
- An understanding of UK policy & regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrable relevant experience in a similar role.
- Sustainability and communications background would be advantageous.
- A current UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel is essential.
