Location:                             Blackwell, Derbyshire (DE55)

Hours:                                  10 hours per day, Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.  Occasional Saturday work, based on operational requirements

Rate of Pay:                        Competitive rates + other benefits

Due to increasing workloads an opportunity has become available to join our team. You will be working at our yard in Blackwell, undertaking a varied and physically demanding role including storage and maintenance of traffic management equipment, loading/ unloading of vehicles and maintenance to vehicles.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complying with and enforcing Health and Safety rules in yard.
  • Safely and correctly loading and unloading Traffic Management equipment from vehicles.
  • Correct and safe manoeuvre of 3.5t, 7.5t, 12t and IPV
  • Maintaining a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas
  • Checking and storing equipment
  • Undertaking necessary training relevant to the role
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential skills:

  • Can work in a team and independently
  • Can follow instruction and where necessary use own initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Have a full UK driving licence

To be successful, candidates will ideally have good communications skills (verbal and written), able to work independently and follow instructions, good time management skills and a proactive and positive attitude.

Experience of working in a yard is desirable and a flexible approach to daily duties dependent on workload is required. Training will be provided to the successful candidate at our depot in Blackwell.
