H W Martin (Traffic Management) Ltd is proud to have sponsored Nottingham Hospitals Charity’s Big Christmas Party for. The Hospital cares for more than 60,000 young people every year, employing over 700 staff across the City.
Recognising the financial strain and staff pressures on healthcare, the Charity raises money to improve facilities for both patients and staff by funding state-of-the-art equipment, providing additional services for patients, and supporting staff research and development.
Working closely with Nottingham Hospitals Charity, H W Martin (Traffic Management) Ltd supported a Christmas Party for current and former patients, families and staff to spread joy this Christmas. With around 600 guests, the party was a huge success for the City boasting party food, performances, character mascots, music, presents, lots of fun, and of course Father Christmas.
The H W Martin team got into the Christmas spirit, wrapping presents in the lead up to Santa’s visit and supporting patients and families on the day with games and craft activities. Our Service Manager, James Hunt said:
“It was very humbling to meet so many brave and inspirational children and their incredible families, we felt privileged to have played a very small part in bringing some festive cheer.”
Nottingham Hospitals Charity Fundraising Manager, Marianne Burchell, also celebrated the success of the event:
“Having a child in hospital is one of the most stressful experiences a family can ever have to face, so the Big Christmas Party is a day of family fun and excitement to spread joy at Christmas time. The party for was our opportunity to do something special for families who may have had a very tough time, and to celebrate the amazing care provided for the young people of Nottinghamshire by our Children’s Hospital. We really appreciated H W Martin (Traffic Management) Ltd not only sponsoring, but taking the time to volunteer, we couldn’t have done it without you!”
