This month the team at HW Martin (Plant) Ltd bade a fond farewell to Phil Brooks. Phil spent 13 years with the company, working as a Parts Advisor supporting the workshop and mobile technical operations.
Coming from a similar role previously, his knowledge and experience led colleagues to note that he had a “keen eye for a bargain” and was a great team player.
Geoff Kearsley, Plant company general manager, hosted a Covid-secure presentation ceremony. During his speech, Geoff noted the committed and dependable approach Phil always applied to his work, adding that the company won’t be the same without him.
Phil pursues many interests outside of work, including local history, railways and real ale. He has also recently become a grandfather. As soon as life gets back to normal for us all post-Covid, no doubt Phil will be spending a lot more time with his growing family, perhaps taking the little one on a train ride to a play area in a real ale pub garden!
