H W Martin (Plant) Ltd, part of the Derbyshire-based Martin Group of Companies, continued their investment with a new apprentice starting on 2nd September. Alex Gladwin kicked off his career by enrolling with the region’s premier plant and vehicle engineering solutions company, supported by one of the country’s most respected training programmes from DAF Trucks.
The DAF Trucks Centre of Learning is based at City of Bristol college, classified as “excellent” by the Learning and Skills Council for its exceptional teaching standards and learning achievements. The combination of college-based study from DAF and on-the-job learning and experience gained from the technicians and facilities at H W Martin (Plant) Ltd will give Alex a massive head start in his engineering career. It will also ensure continuous improvement in service delivery for the company – as technology evolves so do the skills and capabilities at H W Martin (Plant) Ltd.
