With 16 operational centres and over 1,000 trained colleagues, we are proud of our strong financial stability, long-serving workforce, and culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly depot inspections and report findings to the SHEQ team.

  • Deliver safety communications including toolbox talks, bulletins, and safety moments.

  • Carry out initial accident investigations, including evidence gathering, witness statements, and drug & alcohol testing.

  • Produce initial “Fast Facts” reports for the SHEQ and Operations Director.

  • Provide immediate MyRelay feedback and allocate actions to relevant project managers.

  • Undertake regular site and gate audits (typically two per shift) and share findings with management.

  • Exercise Stop Work Authority where immediate safety risks are identified.

  • Represent the company at meetings and promote adherence to all safety procedures and standards.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Relevant safety qualification.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within the highways or construction sector.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Strong understanding of safety principles and commitment to best practice.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

Desirable:

  • NHSS 12A TMF / 12B LTMO qualification.

  • SSSTS or equivalent.

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a respected and established organisation with national coverage and local pride.
