The Role
Start your driving career with us and work towards your HGV licence while gaining hands on experience.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice HGV Driver to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to begin a long term career in transport and logistics while completing a recognised HGV Driver Apprenticeship.
During your apprenticeship, you will gain valuable experience working on trade waste vehicles, learning about transport operations, vehicle checks, and road safety, all while working towards your Category C (Class 2) or Category C+E (Class 1) HGV licence.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working on trade waste vehicles to support operational needs while completing your apprenticeship training.
Learn how to safely operate and maintain large goods vehicles under supervision.
Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles.
Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
Develop a strong understanding of road safety, tachograph use, and driver compliance.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Support the wider transport team with day to day logistics.
What We’re Looking For
A genuine interest in becoming a professional HGV driver.
Full UK driving licence
Good communication skills and a positive, can do attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
