National Highways South West Operations Awards
HW Martin (Traffic Management) was also celebrated at the National Highways South West Operations Awards, held in Bristol. Supply chain partners from across the region came together to recognise excellence in safety, innovation and operational performance.
The company received the Carbon Initiative Award for the development of the Sign Asset Monitoring System (SAMS) – an innovative, sensor-based solution. SAMS reduces the carbon intensity of temporary traffic management by providing real-time alerts for displacement and maintenance needs. This eliminates the need for regular physical patrols as operatives respond only when needed, improving workforce safety while delivering operational efficiency and environmental benefits.
