We are proud to recognise the exceptional efforts of our Operations Director, Andy Graham, who has demonstrated remarkable dedication throughout March in support of the Royal British Veterans Enterprise (RBVE) and their Great Tommy Sleep Out initiative. The Great Tommy Sleep Out is an annual event where participants give up one night of comfort to raise awareness and funds for the more than 340 veterans facing homelessness in the UK.

Over the course of a month, Andy participated in five Great Tommy Sleep Out events, including the Chairman’s Sleep Out on 26th March at The Trenches on Detling Showground. Andy travelled extensively – covering the West Midlands, South West, Yorkshire and North East and Kent – speaking at countless events, to raise awareness and drive support for those who have served our country. His commitment has been met with outstanding generosity, resulting in an impressive £6,600 raised.

“Two men stand outdoors at night holding a large navy banner that reads ‘The Great Tommy Sleep Out.’ They are positioned in front of a purple wall displaying the Exmouth RFC crest. A water bottle sits on the ground below the banner.”
Mark Davies, Commercial Manager, and Jamie Cunningham, Operations Manager from the South West-based team also took part in a Sleep Out.

Andy was joined by numerous colleagues across HW Martin (Traffic Management) Ltd including the our South West-based traffic management team who helped raise almost £2,000.

Reflecting on the achievement, Andy said:

“I would like to thank the colleagues, partners and supporters who joined me at the highways events. There was a great turnout at the Chairman’s Sleep Out in particular. I have the feeling places may need to be reserved for 2027 as many have pledged to return! Most importantly, I would like to thank those who have sponsored. Sleeping out raises awareness; your sponsorship makes the difference.”
