The Company:

King Highway Products is the UK’s leading supplier of specialist vehicles and equipment to the traffic management industry. We design and build specialist vehicles at our Market Harborough site and are looking for a capable and enthusiastic person to support our continued growth.

The Opportunity:

King Highway Products is looking for an organised proactive and customer-focused individual to join us as an Aftersales Support.

This is a varied role providing essential administrative support to our busy Service Department. You will help coordinate workshop and mobile service jobs, maintain accurate records, communicate with customers and ensure completed work is invoiced promptly and professionally.

You will work closely with the Service Manager, Service Controller, Parts Department and our team of mobile and workshop engineers to help jobs progress smoothly from initial booking through to completion and invoicing.

Previous experience in a service, automotive or engineering environment would be helpful, but it is not essential. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, quick to learn, confident communicating with customers and able to keep on top of several priorities.

Responsibilities and Duties to Include:

• Monitor email inboxes, answer calls and respond to, or forward enquiries promptly

• Set up service and workshop WIP records and ensure job information is complete and accurate using the CRM system, regularly reviewing any ongoing jobs.

• Upload and correctly file engineers’ photographs and supporting job documentation

• Create and maintain workshop service files

• Input engineer timesheets, clocking’s and expenses

• Arrange hotels, ferries and other travel requirements for mobile service engineers

• Help resolve routine customer queries and escalate more complex issues when required

· Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in line with company procedures

· Support the Service Manager and Service Controller with general administration and job progression

Experience, Qualifications and Skills required:

  • A professional and helpful approach to customer service – Essential
  • Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues – Essential

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel – Essential
  • Previous administrative or customer-service experience – Desirable
  • Experience with invoicing, timesheets or WIP management – Desirable
  • Experience in automotive, engineering, manufacturing or production administration – Desirable
