 Enthusiastic and Committed Service Controller to join our team Based at our Market Harborough site.

Location: Market Harborough (LE16)

Salary: Competitive Rates of pay depending on experience

Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00

The Opportunity:

King Highway Products is looking for a proactive and friendly Service Controller to support our small but expanding team.

In this key role, you’ll be the central link between our customers and our mobile engineering team. You’ll be responsible for scheduling breakdowns and servicing jobs, ensuring operations run smoothly and our high standards of customer service are maintained.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to breakdown calls and efficiently schedule jobs to ensure timely support.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with customers, providing updates on vehicle repair progress.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including setting up new jobs and updating existing ones in the system.
  • Handle customer enquiries via email with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Uphold a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude in all interactions with customers and team members.
  • Organise engineers’ workloads, ensuring compliance with legal working and driving hours.
  • Obtain customer authorisation for all work, including initial diagnostics and any additional repairs.
  • Process and manage engineer timesheets daily.
  • Liaise with the parts department to confirm the availability of required components for repair jobs.
  • Generate and process invoices for completed work.

 

Experience, Qualifications and Skills required:

Excellent communication and customer service skills – Essential

Ability to use own initiative and problem-solve effectively – Essential

Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail – Essential

Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel – Essential

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, fast-paced team – Essential

Previous experience within the motor trade or automotive industry – Desirable
