Job Title: Mobile Recycling Advisor
Location: Stainton Grove, HWRC (DL12 8UH)
Hours of work: Full time, 5 days weekly including 1 weekend day. (45 hours between April – September & 32.5 hours between October – March)
Hourly Rate: £12.88 per hour

The Role:
HW Martin Waste Limited is looking for a Mobile Recycling Advisor based at our Stainton Grove Household Waste Recycle Centre. The role will involve covering holidays and sickness where applicable across all 12 HWRCs.
The successful candidates will need to have access to their own transport, as travel between sites is required. Mileage will be reimbursed at 55p per mile for any business travel over and above their normal home-to-work commute.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assisting and guiding member of the public
- Housekeeping duties to keep the site and offices clean and tidy
- Sorting waste to extract recyclables
- Sorting Recyclables to maintain their quality
- Comply with Company policies and procedures
- Ensure that safe working practices and procedures are adhered to
- Complying with the guidelines and procedures for the correct use of PPE and uniforms
- Achieve performance targets as agreed with the line manager
- Bring to the attention of your line Manager any matters which are considered to fall below required standards.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction and site recycling rates
- Create and maintain effective working relationships with your line manager, colleagues, and site users
- Reporting of near misses or hazards that have the potential to impact the operations
- Comply with Contract specific controls for the acceptance of waste at each HWRC
- Undertake mandatory training
